A special meeting of the Otago Rugby Football Union was hekl last night for the purpose of laying before delegates a report and plans covering the erection of a grand stand at Carisbrook Ground, and. alterations to the ground itself. The report stated that the whole of the work was estimated to cost about £1,600. After a short discussion, Mr Proctor moved and Mr J. King seconded that the committee be empowered to go on with the work, as fully explained by the president of the union (Mr IT. Ilarrs). Tenders had been already called for the proposed improvements to the ground, and that of Mr D. Marshall (£1,360 13s) was selected from the 12 forwarded. Wild Wind (ssec) was omitted from the St. Kilda Handicap in tho list of handicaps for the Forbury Park Trotting Club's meeting appearing in yesterday's issue.
