N.S. WALES ELECTIONS
Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, November 17. The electoral nominations show that there are 245 candidates for 90 electorates. Of these, three Liberals—Messrs Cann (Colonial Treasurer), Leo (Tenterlield), and I. «T. Cohen (Petersham) —have been returned unopposed. In 29 electorates the vote is split by Independents, and most of the splitting is against the Liberal interest. IF THE LIBERALS ARE RETURNED. SYDNEY, November 18. (Received November 18, at 10.15 a.m.) At a political meeting Mr Wade said : "Take my word for it that if the Liberal party are returned an invitation will be sent to the Governor-General to return to New South Wales.'' The announcement was greeted with much enthusiasm.
