/By Oxlookek.] Victor Trumper last week played a fine innings of 157 not out for Gordon against Glebe. In the same match Warren Bardsley got 106. These two internationals skipped their respective sides. Sydney University defeated Sydney by nine wickets and 7 runs, a result largely due to Massio (left-hand bowler), who took eight wickets for 43. Adelaido had a line finish against Port Adelaide, the difference, being 4 runs in favor of the latter on the first innings. The. idea of a veterans' match at Christmas against Christchurch to celebrate the jubilee of Otago-Canterbnry cricket is an excellent one, and as it has the sanction of both associations it is sure to eventuate. It Messrs Hope, Jiattray, Fisher, Baker, Glen, and a few liko old-timers could be persuaded to don the flannels the game would be worth watching. Mr Cyril Hopkins, Carisbrook's dashing bat, will be a passenger for Sydney by the L'limaroa, which leaves Wellington on Friday next:.
