PERMANENT COURT OF APPEAL. TWO ADDITIONAL JUDGES. [From Our Parliamentary Reporter..] WELLINGTON, October 7. The Judicature Act . Amendment Bill, introduced by Governor’s Message, provides for the appointment of two additional Judges and a permanent Court of Appeal. The purpose of tho arrangement is to relieve the Judges when the Appeal Court is sitting, thus enabling the judicial work to go on uninterruptedly. The Bill was referred to the Statutes Revision Committee.

The Judicature Bill also provides for the separation of Judges into two divisions for tho purposes of tho Court of Appeal. One division of four, together with the Chief Justice, will constitute one division, and the remaining. four, with the Chief Justice, constitute tho other division. One division of the Court will take cases set down for hearing at one sitting of the Court, and the other division take the. cases set down for the folsittin S- Then No. 1 division will take the next setting, and so on Thus when the Court of. Appeal is sitting, current Supreme Court work will be undertaken by the Judges who are not attending the Court of Appeal.
