: At the South Dunedin Presbyterian Church on Sunday an eight davs* special mission was commenced. The* Rev. R. 1 Eairmaid preached to largo congregations ■both morning, and cvcnine. Last night , the second service was held'in Reid Hall. There was a. large attendance, and the Bev. S. B. Orr delivered an address based on Hebrews ii., 1. The address was a reminder of the danger that beset saint and sinner alike of .letting divine things . slip and drifting away from them—a reminder of the peril of unconscious spiritual , loss'. . All .were urged to give earnest heed lost' they should sustain this loss. Miss , Brownell presided at the organ, and Miss Dunlop sang a sacred solo. Prior to the --service a band of workers conducted an , onen-air meeting in King Edward street. The. mission .will be continued throughout the week.
