The adjourned meeting was presided’ over last night by Air G. W. AFlntosh It was decided to give tho Wyndham Anglers’ Society £3O to clear the stream. Messrs John Munro and W. A. Leech were recommended for appointment as hon. rangers. • Air D. Urquhart (Hawea Flat) wrote re Lakes Hawea and AYanaka. The letter was referred to the Angling Committee. The same writer intimated that shags were very plentiful in the district. A discussion followed as to the means of dealing with shags, and it was decided to cany on the destructiofi on the terms hitherto followed. '1 he President, said he had drafted a letter to skin dealers re opossums, but had not had time to get a reply yet. He referred to the necessity for action to cope with illicit trading in skins. The council decided to co-operate with the Expansion League and Taieri River settlers with a view to getting the dredge pollution of the Taieri stopped.
