NO PUBLIC MEETING.

AUCKLAND, September 19. The Mayor has decided not to call a public meeting to consider the administration of justice in the Supreme Court at Auckland. Mr Parr states that it would not best servo tho objects of tho petitioners and the public to do so at present, for within his knowledge definite steps are now being taken by tho responsible authorities to secure a proper inquiry and suitable action.
