IN A PRIVATE HOSPITAL.

This morning a young lady. Miss Marryatt, of Milton, died at Nurse Thomson’s private hospital, Stafford street, while under chloroform, which was administered to permit of the removal of a growth on the ja\.. Drs Roberts and Pickorill were the medical men in attendance. It is stated that tho operation had been commenced, when the patient ceased breathing, and though everything possible was done to restore consciousness the efforts were unavailing. An inquest will probably be held tomorrow.
