NEW YORK, August 20. A message from Keokuk (Iowa) reports that the river steamer Henry Bosse tinned turtle, and that 14 of the crew were imprisoned below the water-line. A heavy storm is raging. Seven of the men escaped, hut the others were caught in the cabin and drowned like rats. The captain was Hung into the middle of the river when the deckhouse parted. As the vessel capsized a man and woman released themselves from under a boat. They reached the surface, but were drowned before the rescuing boats arrived.
