DEFENCE RIFLE CLUBS.

KIWI v. GOODWOOD. On Saturday afternoon the above dubs fired off a return match on the local club’s range, conditions being 12 men a side, two lowest scores counted out. Although the day was dull and showery, there was an absence of wind, for winch the riflemen were duly thankful. At the SBOvds the Kiwis gained a lead of 11 points,' but at the long range Hie country team more nearly held their own, the town club eventually winning by a margin of 16 points. At the conclusion of the shooting Captain Cameron (Goodwood) and Captain Dempster (Kiwi), on behalf of their teams, expressed their pleasure in meeting in friendly rivalry, and looked forward with pleasant anticipations to the triangular match in conjunction with the Dunedin Rifle Club at Goodwood on King’s Birthday.
