The body of James Phillips was.found at Hororaia, (Canterbury). Jiis head was blown off. Ho was out rabbit shooting, and his death is belioved to be accidental. Andrew M'Farlane. an expressman, was struck on the head by a concrete beam while taking fruit into Mr Moritzson"s premises in Jetty street this morning. He sustained slight injuries to the head and shoulders, but no Innies were broken. He was attended to at the Hospital. A middle-aged man, John Cunningham, hoarded the express for and fell asleep. When the cuanl went to examine his ticket he found him dead.— Hamilton wire. An inquest was held to-dav concerning the death at the Hospital of a seaman named Olsen, aged 37 years. Deceased was admitted from Terrace. Gaol suffering' from over-indulgence in alcohol!. Three' davs after he was sent to the Hospital sufferim' from pneumonia and typhoid fever, which resulted in his death.' A verdict was returned in accordance with the evidence.
