The Trades and Labor Council adopted a resolution that the Federal Government should at least grant the Mount Lveli disaster fund a sum equal to their contribution to the Captain Scott fund. One speaker declared that the members of the Federal-Government had fallen over themselves to kowtow to "mere hero worship, and that thoy had forgotten those at their own door.
Another speaker declared that tho Government's contribution to the Scott ftmd represented an hysterical outburst of mock patriotism.
