T ~ LONDON, January 2. ■ in the course of his evidence before the .Committee of Inquiry into the Government s wireless contract with the Marconi firm, Mr Gandil (of the firm of Poulsen),, said that his firm were unable to get information from the government to enable them to tender, but before making a general offer he was informed that the stations had to-be 2,000 miles apart, and that it was untrue that iviarconi s company had got the contract. i ressed for the name of his informant, witness replied : '< Sir Wm. Hall-Jones."
