(Received January 3, at 10.55 a.m.) Giving evidence before the Committee of Inquiry into the Government's Marconi contract, Mr Gandil (representing the firm of Poulsen) said they were not given an opportunity to tender. Thev could have tendered cheaper than Marconi, and their system involved a lower cost of working. He admitted that Poulsen's system had never been tested over a distance of 2,000 miles.
