THANKSGIVING SERVICE SUGGESTED. Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. DELHI, December 31. A final slight operation was successfully performed on Lord Hardinge. LONDON, December 31. The Acting Under-Secretary of Slate for India, Mr Acland, in reply to a question in the House of Commons, said he had not received information indicating that the attack on Lord Hardinge was due- to political motives. The Delhi correspondent of the ' Daily Telegraph' advises that the Begam of Bhopal suggests devoting to charities what is given at the thanksgiving service on Lord Hardinge's recovery for the establishment of a hospital or an orphanage. The Hindus hero passed a resolution expressing sympathy with Lord Hardinge, and commending his policy.
