Lyttelton waterside workers wanted to get paid on Tuesday of this week instead of Friday, as usual. The Italian steamer Trento was towed into Southampton in a condition similar to that of the Narrung. In the Bay of Biscay a huge wave swept over her, and five of the crew were seriously hurt.
