CALEDONIAN SOCIETY'S SPORTS

TO-DAY'S EVENTS. The Otago Caledonian Society's animal games were resumed this afternoon under a cloudless sky. A brisk breeze from the north-cast, which tempered the sunshine, raised, dust and hindered competitors. •Additional spirit, was added to the programme by the inclusion of wood-eawing Jind wood-chopping competitions. The Dunediu Tips Band were again in attendance. The Highland dancing competitions were judged by Mr M'Kcnzie Forbes, of Wanganui. There was a fair attendance when the sporU started promptly at 1 p.m. Results :
