MINING.
The secretary of the Nokonlai Hydraulic Sluicing Company reports that 'No. 1 was employed for four days blowing off top material. The water has been very warm, and is short—barely 11 heads. No water can be spared from the Lion race. A break occurred on No. 2 race, and took two days to repair. It was expected that the blowing off would be finished yesterday. r\n. 3 had a full week's work—less one shift—and the progress made is good. The weather continues very warm.
