There was a fair attendance. At 348 M'Cormack was dismissed, and at 368 Kyle was caught. The last wicket fell at 391. Additional scores :—Kyle 40, M'Cormack 29, Purvis 13. Kelly 14, Pentland (not out) 0. In Marlborough's second innings the wickets fell in a procession to Kelly and Kenny. The score at lunch was 13 wickets for 64. Scores:—Whittle 9, Wedde 14, Mills 7, Martin 9, Horton 12, Goulding 5. The Test made "ducks." Kelly took five wickets for 28, and Kenny seven for 29. South Melbourne. First innings 391 Marlborough.
