The opening services in connection with the Dunedin Central Mission were continued in the Octagon Hall yesterday. The preacher for the day was* the Rev. W. A. Sinclair, who for eight years was superintendent of the mission. In the course of his address last evening he especially congratulated the Rev. W. Slade and the mission workers on securing for a permanent home for the mission such a splendidly-equipped - and centrallysituated hall. In the afternoon the Eaikorai Band rendered a programme of Christmas carol music, which was enjoyed by a large audience. According to recent statistics, Germany is a nation of law-breakers. It appears that one person out of every 12 has been convicted for some transgression of the law.
