SALE OF WORK
The annual guild sale hi connection, with St. Martin’s, North-east Valley, was opened in the Valley Town Hall yesterday evening by the Mayor of Dunedin (Mr W. Burnetii. The hall was well filled, and Die business done by the ladies made serious inroads upon the tine display of goods upon the tastefully-arranged stalls. The sale will be open to-night, when a special feature of the programme will be a comedietta, ‘ A Perfect Treasure,’ in which the Misses Fraer wd! appear; ami to-mor-row night, when a musical programme is promised. The ladies in charge of the stalls aroj—Guild st.ill, Mrs Drake and. Mrs Davidson; fancy stall, Mrs R. Tyrrell and Johnstone; produce—Mrs Wilson, Mrs J. Johnston-, Misses Hill and Kilpatrick; refreshments—Mesdames Cameron, Green, W. Tyrrell, and Misses Butler and Keys; sweets, Mrs MfXab and Miss- Wilson; flowers, Mrs H. Drake and Miss Drake: Christmas tree, Mrs Duckworth and Miss G. Wilson; hotkey stall, the North-east Valiev Club.
