Au Auckland message states that, in rognixi to the tramway fatality of September 17 the jury returned a verdict that the death of Henry Williamson was due to hie bein' r crushed by colliding with, a tram car ; that* Motor-man Watson, of the runaway car did not keep a sufficient lock-out considering the weather conditions ; and that Hie lorn- was insufficiently lighted. The coroner ‘asked the foreman whether the jury blamed solely the motorman or the lorry-driver. The foreman said the jury had arrived at a unanimous decision, and that was their verdict. The Coroner: " Well, I can only accept it as it is.”
