The Molynoux River was at the oft 7iu mark according to the Alexandra postmaster's wire this morning. The weather was fine, and frosts had been experienced. The Central Charlton dredce worked for 129 hours Last week on outs 3 and 4. No. 3 cut is now nearly worked to the road. The wash is very drifty and fine on part of the cat. The Rise ;un«l Shine No. 2 dredge is now ready for lifting, and when a flexible steam pipe connection is fitted up another attempt (probably at the end of this week) will be made to lift the dredge. The directors, in submitting the report and balance-sheet for the rear ended 50th. June, 1911, state: During the year the gold von totalled 6630z 18dwt lgr, against 5540z lodwt 13gr in 1909-10. and one dividend of 2s per sliare, absorbing was paid. The total amount distributed in the shape of dividends now amounts to £83.687 10s. or £l2 17s 6d per share, and the reserve fund stands at £2,000. Two of your directors. .Messrs Thomas Brown and" Peter Reid, having found it necessary to resign their seats on the board. Messrs William Jeffrey and James H. Gray were elected to till tho vacancies thereby occasioned. Tho Hon. Tbos. Fergus, who has been chairman of directors since the initiation of the company, is at present absent from New Zealand on a visit to England, and prior to his departure Mr A. J. Shaw was appointed acting: chairman. Mr Robert Scott, who is still in charge at the claim, gives every satisfaction, and continues to enjoy the confidence of the board. The Hon. Th'os. Fergus and Mr William Jeffrey are the retiring directors, and Mr A. C. Fen wick retires as auditor.
