LODGE MEETINGS.
The fortnightly meeting of the Antidote Division, Sons and Daughters of Temperance, was held on Monday evening, Bro. G. Crawford presiding over a good attendance of members. Tho half-yearly reports of the officers and auditors were laid before the meeting, and showed an increase in membership, and a profit for the half-year of £l7B Is in the funds, making the total worth of the Division £5.535 12s 7d, being equal to £32 19s per brother and £l6 9s 6d per sister. The members are showing a keen interest in the welfare of the lodge, and are determined to leave no stone unturned to increase the membership. Feeling reference was made to the death of Mr T. E. Taylor, M.P., and the following resolution was passed by the members standing:—‘‘That this Division express their deep sympathy with the widow and relatives of Mr T. E. Taylor, and also their high appreciation of tho noble work done for the temperance cause by their lest leader.” A copy of tho resolution was ordered to be sent to the relatives of the deceased.
