YOUNG MAN MISSING.
{Per United Prbss Association.] MASTERTON, August 2. The police are still unable to ascertain tie whereabouts of the young man Kingdon, who has been missing since July 24. He wats.seen at. Carterton in company with throe other men that day, and returned in the evening in .a cab. Hl3 companions state that, he was last seen going alon? Dixon street. Many rumors are in circulation, but none have be«n veriaed. It is alleged that the men had a dispute, but they say that though Kingdon was in a quarrelsome mood aud struck them ihey d?d not retaliate. The cabdriver saj's he left them in Dixon street. No official communication has been received by the police as tc a serious charge, rumors 'of which have been current for some days, arising out of his disappearance.
