THE NEW DEFENCE AGREEMENT,
Press Association—By Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, July 51. The Admiralty bos placed orders for 12 destroyers out of the 20 provided in the. 1911 programme. Some are of a new type, with a speed of 55 knots. Commenting on the uaval arrangement between Great Britain and the Ovexsea Dominions, ‘ The Times ’ says that the memorandum is well conceived, and an eminently practical solution of the. difficult problem of bringing the three different naval forces of the Empire into close organic relations.
