(Received July 51, at 8.25 a.m.) There, were 41 cases ;<;f plague and 40 deaths at Malanig (Java) in a week, live at Kederl (all fatal), and one at Soura-baya, EXTERMINATING SQLTRRE.LS. XE\V YORK. July 30. (Received July 31, at 9.25 a.m.) There is a case of bubonic plague in San Francisco, arising out of infection caught front a ground squirrel. The victim is a boy of seven years. The health authorities have despatched hundreds of men to exterminate the squirrels in the affected district.
