i 'Hie HojX' of Dunedin Lodge of {iow '■ Templars held their weekly meeting on Fri--1 dav evening at the lodge, room. Howling i street. Bro. Clark presiding. 'niere was a , 2 cK)d attendance. Five candidates we-ie : rnitiated, and one brother was received by j clearance card. As the lodge has entered | lor the. shield competition, which is at procent l:eld by Auckland, a special effort by I invitation card was approved of. Tiej Svllabus Committee read their report, : which wis adopted. Several members i spoke highly of thp new syllabus, which ; includes four debates. The report of the visit to the Rechabites was approved, and lit was decided to return the compliment ! by inviting th3m at an early datn to a social evening. The election of officers for the epiartcr wa6 proceeded with, and rei suited in some new blood being elected. | After votes to the visitors and some routine 1 business the lodge adjourned, to accept an I invitation from the Temperance .Social j Club.
