HARRIERS.

The Pacific Harriers held their weekly run on Saturday from the Taieri Tea. Rooms, Mosrgiei.as the guests of Messrs .1. A. Bond and L. Castle how. Messrs Milburn and Yonng had charge of the bags, and laid a trail along Gordon road for a short distance, then taking a circular course to the left to the Outrain railway line, then doubling back to the. cross loads, then through the paddocks towards North Taieri, circling round through Wylie's Crossing, through the Silverstrcaan, on to the Bush road, which was followed for a short distance toward the station, finishing on the Gordon road. The Dunedin Harriers, running from across the road, combined with Pacific, and the two clubs had a most enjoyable run. although at times the pack lost the trail. After the Pacific members had removed all traces of their run, they adjourned to the refreshment room, where Captain Richardson returned thanks, and Mr Bund suitably responded on behalf of Mr Castlehow and himself. It was decided that one team only lie entered for the Five-mile Interclub Race. The following members have been seleet-ed to represent the club ■:■ —Messrs J. A. Bond, J. Nicol, P. Torrie, J. After the members, had finished their lame, a good run home concluded the day's outing. Mr Andrews thanked Mr Murray on behalf of the club for the splendid meal prepared for the members, and also spoke of the good qualities of their vice-president. , The Anglican and Corstorphine Harriers combined in their run from the North-east ValJev School. The pari, under the leadership of Captain Breen. started out iu the direction of the higher levels. In. parts the. ground was very wet and sloppy, which made climbing difficult. On reaching the top of the -hills a magnificent view was obtained of Dunedin and harbor, which was w r ell woTth the climb. The Dunedin Harriers journeyed to Mossiel on Saturday afternoon, and ran from Mr Matbeson's Railway Hotel. Paper was dispensed with, and the pack, tinder Captain Thomson and Deputy-captain Hodijsoti. ran over some good harrier country till Wingatui raceoonrso was readied. From here a. trial run w held over the course for the next. Interclub Championship Race. Subsequently the following team were selected for next Saturday's event : —G. Durtgey. H. Johnson.JkV. Mayall. Leaving the racecourse, the pack fumed up the hill to the right of the courso and_ down the other side, and on till near Siiverstream. This was skirted, and then acro>o f-everal ploughed paddocks and fences, until a lead was'reached ; across this raid ami through a paddock of stubbie and back on to the course. Here the fao of tho old quarry was scaled and Mime, of the pack caused a little excitement and amusement. The trad now went- through Opoho and over Signal Hill. Home was soon readied.
