Mr William Epps. secretary of the Prince Alfred Hospital af Sydney, was largely the ineaofe of £6,800 being raised for that institution by means of an All Nations' Fair, and the other day he was entertained at apublic dinner, when complimentary references were made to his splendid organising powers, which nad been demonstrated on this and similar occasions. Mr Epps -was at- one time on the reporting staff of this paper. The employees at Mrs Blackie'.; dressmaking establishment met on Saturday to make a presentation to two of their fellowworkers. Miss L. Creagh and Miss .1. Raird. who are about to be married. Mr Blackie. on behalf of Mrs Blackie and the employees, made the presentation, which consisted of a dinner set to M.isti L. Creagh and a. tea set to Mks J. Baird. Mr R. A. M'Ctillouch, who since the beginning of 1903 held the position of mathematical master at the Otago Roys' Hi em .School, died at his residence at lloslyn yesterday, after having been a sufferer from what is known as Hcdgkinson's disease.
