THE COMING CAMPAIGN.
TO THE EDITOR. Sir, —Permit rne to ask if anyone connected with the liquor trade can vouch for the correctness or otherwise of the report that the “ trade ” are engaged in a campaign on the quirt to ascertain the strengths of the rival factions. If the canvassers hapoen to call on me I think it will be better for them to speedily retrace their steps. Trusting some friend will be able to shr-d some light on the matter—-I am, etc.. Querist.
