SOUTH ISLAND BULLDOG CLUB.
A meeting of the Executive of this club, held last evening, was attended by Messrs R. S. Henries (in the chair), A. Galloway, J. G. Adair, E. Hopkins, C. A. Hutton, and G. A. Wycherley (secretary). The Secretary reported that the Dunedin Fanciers’ Club had acceded to the request of the Bulldog Club that stronger pens should be provided for bulldogs at the forthcoming show. Letters were received from the Canterbury 7 Kennel Club and the North Otago Kennel Club thanking the committee for allotting them special trophies for their respective shows. It was resolved that in future ladies joining the club should be exempt from payment of an entrance lee. Six new members (including four ladies) were elected.
Several donations to the funds of the club were reported as having been made or promised. It was resolved to hold a parade, in conjunction with the South Island Fox Terrier Club, a little later in the season. Satisfaction was expressed at the fine entry of bulldogs at the Fanciers’ Club show.
