THE WOOMAUGH RESERVE.
With regard to the Woodhaugh Reserve, the chairman of the Citizens’ Committee and other members seen yesterday stated that it was their intention at first to reply in full to the arguments used by the deputation to the City Council, hut on going carefully into the matter they found that the statements made were so obviously without proper knowledge of the proposals that they considered it would bo hardly fair either to the members of that deputation themselves or to the City Council to enter jrito a newspaper controversy at present! A _ full and reply is, however, being drafted, and will be submitted to the "Reserves Committee at the earliest opportunity. The Chairman further stated that he was rung up yesterday morning by two residents who wished to assure him" that the objects of Wednesday night's deputation did not by any means represent the unanimous wish of tho residents of that locality.
