There is much adverse criticism and many indignant protests by the Press and public men against Mr Fisher's ' Review of Reviews' interview. It is claimed to be a misrepresentation of Australian aims and feelings. Others characterise the Prime Minister's statements as a disgrace to Australia and heresy to the British Empire. The Empire League held a meeting, and after many strong .speeches it was decided to cable to London, emphatically repudiating tho allegation of disloyalty that had been made against the Australian people. It was also decided to arrange for a demonstration of protest. Several Labor members have condemned Mr Fisher's utterances. MELBOURNE, July 24. Mr Hughes, the Acting Premier, .-says he would like to set; the full text of Mr Fishers' remarks.
