LABOR PARTY.
'The fust meeting of the l.ihor Representation Council was held in the Trades Hall last night-, when there was a large attendance of delegate from the various unions and progressive hodire. Much good work was done. Mr Palmer, chairman of the Trades and bailor Council, occupied the cliair, and gave the delegates a hearty welcome to the Council, and expressed the belief that the outcome of the Council'., work would be for the benefit of labor in Dunedin. lire gathering showed in no slight degree the solidarity of labor in this pail of the Dominion. An invitation from the South Dunedin branch of tin? Labor party to attend their meeting was received.
