Tho first mooting of tho Central Rivers Board, who we.ro elected nixler the Bill passed last session to control tho whole of tho rivers in tho district, was held today. The Horn J. D. Ormond was appointed chairman. Tho Board selected two engineers—Messrs C. D. Kennedy (Napier) and George Elliott (Taieri) —to report on the rivers question, and the appointment of a third was left to the Govoniraeot.
