C GRADE. The final to decide the winners of the first section in the C grade competition was contested by North-east Valley and Moan a at the hitter's courts on Saturday. Rain interrupted the match, so that at the conclusion of play, there remained to he got off the. four combined games and two ladies' singles, which will bo played during the week. The winners will 'play S'._ Kilda (winners of the second section) at the new courts at Anderson Bay on Saturday next. At the close of play on Saturday Moana held a lead of 24 games. The detailed scores are its fe.ilow, Moaua's names- being mentioned first: Men's Doubles.—Brady and Sinclair beat Taylor and Harraway, 9/; G. and A. Nieolson beat Manson and Murray, 9—7. Ladies' Doubles.—Misses Sinclair and Bagley boat Misses Craintmd and Median, 6—4;' Misses Farra and Sparrow beat Misses (iilniour and Yorston, 6—3. Men's Singles.—Brad v beat Taylor. 9 7; Sinclair beat Manson, 9—2; G._ Nieolson beat Harraway, 9—B; A. Nieolson beat Murray, 9-4.' Totals: Moana, 66; North-east Valley, 42. Twelve players from the- Caversham Club played a match against St. Leonards on the latter'* courts. The match ended -. Caversham, 87 games; St. Ix>onards, 66 games.
