Time, Imin 192 sec. At the lirst attempt all tho competitors were disqualified on thi grounds that they did not swim square all the way, or that they touched with both hands. Wickham’s time in this essay was Imin 13£ sec. Half-mile Chainpionsliip. Hardwick (New South Wales) I. Longworth (New South Woles) 2, Springfield (Queensland) 5. Time, 12min 17i«ec. Won by six yards. Wickham (New South Wales) put up a world’s record for sixty yards—viz., olsec.
