Jowctt, the well-known Congregational minister of Carr's Lane Church, Birmingham, has accepted the pastorate of tho Fifth Avenue Presbyterian Church, New York. [Mr Jowctt, who it in his forty-seventh year, is the president of tho Free Church Council, a preacher of great power, and an author of repute. lie last year declined an American call at a princely salary.]
