(Received January 26, at 10.35 a.m.) The Institute of Civil Engineers considered papers by Mr .Halligau and Air King, of the Works Department (Sydney), on bar harbors and sand movements; also Mr Russell Palmer's paper on the Fremantle Harbor works. An interesting discussion followed, in which Mr Ooghhui, New South Wales Agent-General, and Mr C. W. Darley, engineer New South Wales Government, and other eminent engineers participated.
