(Received December 7, at 8.40 a.m.) Tho Labor party heie gave a conversazione for tho purpose of saying farewell to Mr Fowlds and Mr Fisher. Several Labor M.F.s were present. The- chairman said that they wero interested in tho Australian Government, because for the first timo in the history of representative goyernmeiit men. f 10m their own ranks had shown that they wero quite as capable of formulating legislation as any others. Mr Fisher, in replying, referred to tho disorganisation and conflicting views held by the Labor party in different parts of South Africa, and emphasised the need of unity and of a coherent policy.
