A sensational tragedy was brought to light in Paris on the 17th inst., when, the dead body of the Baroness D'Ambricourt was discovered in tho ljedroom of Captain Meynier, a French army officer. Captain Meynier sent a note to* the police declaring that he had murdered his fiancee, and that ho intended to take his own life. Tho jiolice, upon visiting the captain's room, found the be*/ of the woman, who had apparently been poisoned. They then energetically set about looking for Captain Meynier, but wero unable to discover any trace of him.
