, In the Assembly the Treasurer stated that the Governor (Admiral Bosanquet), rather than that there should be any controversy, had asked that the extra vote of £SOO for the payment of his private secretary and typist should he withdrawn. The Treasurer added that though tho Government had a majority to carry the vote through, tho item would bo withdrawn out of respect for the Governor's wishes.
