FRUIT-GROWERS AND LABOR
Press Association —By Telegraph—Copyright. HOBART, November 2. (Received November 2, at 9.35 a.ra.)
The Fruit-growers’ Conference discussed the rough handling of fruit on the wharves, and suggested that the labor unions be approached. Mr Everett. (New Zealand) said there was too much hostility shown to the men. They could not expect the men to look after their interests if they alempbed to accentuate that hostility. The best way out of the difficulty was to approach the unions.
The matter was referred to the Executive.
