In tho course of an address to the AntiGambling League, the State Premier (Mr VeiTan) said that gambling was not confined to racecourses, but existed in business life. They had a fine example in what had happened lately on the Stock Exchanges over the Bullfinch discovery. That sort of gambling had a right to be throttled just as much as any other kind. TASMANIA’S SHARE. HOBART, November 2. (Reveived November 2, at 9.15 a.m.) A return tabled in the Assembly shows that the amount received by the State Government in six years from Tattersalls by way of sweeps, unclaimed prizes, etc., is £243,820.
