RICCARTON TRAINING NOTES.

CHRISTCHURCH, November 2.
The tracks were in good order at Riccarton this morning after a shower of rain. Boanerges sprinted three furlongs in 38sec. .Maori King beat Theodore easily over six furlongs in Imin 15sec. Bridge and Wimmoi’a ran a mile and a-quarter in 2min ISscc, Bridge finishing strongly, and registering a good gallop; as he is notoriously a lazy track-worker. A number of Cup horses were restricted to half to medium pacing. After breakfast Sea King rattled off six furlongs in Imin 14? sec—a brilliant gallop. Chief Lochiel ran four furlongs in 49isec, finishing particularly well. Oiyoi was given two solid circuits. The others only had light tasks.
A final payment of 10 sovs on the New Zealand Cup is due to-night. A Wellington telegram states that Air G. D. Greenwood, whose colt Danube won the Champion Plate at the last Wellington races, offe’S a present of a hundred-guinea cup to bo attached to the same event next vear.
