MELBOURNE, November 1. (Received November 1, at 9.55 a.m.j The Government have received a cable from Sir G. Reid stating that he is getting data in regard to a St a te-owned cable. There is a possibility of an alternative route which will do the work four times faster, and with far less mistakes.
