SYDNEY, July 7.
Tho Royal Commission who are to inquire into the question of railway decentralisation have commenced their sittings.
In the Assembly the Premier, on being asked if he did not intend to take action regarding the brick combine, replied that the information ho had obtained entirely failed to boar out tho charges levelled against the combine.

The Hon. King O’Malley- states that tho Government have no intention of interfering with the rejection of the Capital Site.
The Hon. F. G. Tudor slates that under the proposed amendments to the. Customs Act New Zealand oat bags, which' are used for heavier grain after arrival, will in future have to conform to the 2001b standard.

A white woman and a Japanese who were living together in a laundry ’committed suicide by taking poison.
