CATLINS RAILWAY
Wo have good reason for saying that the number of workmen on the Gatlins Railway has been steadily maintained the whole of this year. The Public Works Department advises us that on January 1 and February 1 tho number was 562, on March 1 354, on April 1 360, cm May 1 348, on June 1 550, and on July 1 546. The slight crop in May was owing to the commencement of winter, but orders have been given to increase the working strength, and this will be dona as mm offer themselves.
