SATISFACTORILY SETTLED
ANDERSON BAY TRAMLINE.

WELLINGTON, July 8,
Tho Mayor of Dunedin and Cr Wilson had a conference this morning with the Hon. J. A. Millar, together with Mr Holmes, Engincer-in-Chicf of the Public Works Department, mid Air Furkert, District Engineer, regarding the duplication of the Anderson Bay tramline. A settlement was reached, which is regarded at satisfactory to all parties. Tho plantations arc not to be removed, nor will tho openings between them be closed up, but they will, on tho other hand, bo further opened up by grass plots. 'The second tramline will run oh the harbor side of tho plantation, as originally recommended—i.o.. there will bo a tram track on each side of the plantation. Messrs Cole, ami Wilson, leave Wellington on Saturday, and arrive in Dunedin by the second express on Monday.
